    The Materials Manager leads the team and processes that drive materials discipline standards, shortage management and material execution across multiple product lines.  This position is responsible for the management of $40+ million in cellular products.  Serves as a liaison between the company and suppliers; maintains positive vendor relationships to develop a partnership relation where necessary.  Track and report key performance indicators and proactively identify appropriate actions to close gaps and to drive continuous improvement.   


    • Improve cost, quality and delivery
    • Maintain Vendor and Contract Manufacturer relationships
    • Manage multiple business unit purchases/inventory and support team
    • Ensure team is proactively identifying shortages, communicating with contract manufacturers and escalating issues that affect production schedules
    • Manage inventory based on forecast, current inventory and customer orders
    • Monitor factors impacting supply and demand for components, identify trends
    • Coaching and guiding a team while providing continuous feedback on performance


    • Bachelor’s degree in related field
    • 7 – 10 years’ experience in materials management
    • Proven successful experience with maintenance of standard costing system, scheduling, purchasing and inventory control.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook
    • Forward thinking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
    • 5+ years of management experience, specifically managing planners and buyers
    • Demonstrated ability to motivate team to obtain high level of performance and to accomplish goals
    • Advanced knowledge of materials management strategies
    • Ability to work with all levels of management
    • Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and organizational skills
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (up to 2 times per year)


    Preferred Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:

    • 5 – 10 years of industry related experience
    • Great Plain experience a plus
    • Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures
