The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for operational metrics, inventory accounting, and inventory control. The Inventory Analyst will act as a liaison between Finance and Operations to promote operational efficiencies, enhance information sharing, and facilitate issue resolution. The Inventory Analyst will provide analysis and financial information and utilize this data to maintain high quality standards and improve upon operational and efficiencies.  Position includes evaluations of multiple projects across three divisions to include cost data deep dives and obsolescence review.  Strong focus on inventory management process and analysis.


  • Act as a key financial resource for the VP of Supply Chain and Logistics, including involvement in analyzing key procurement metrics using data collection techniques (e.g., downloading of transactional data to spreadsheet format) to report results for the monthly operation review
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports, including direct labor and monthly variances
  • Gather data and identify problems through operational and financial analysis to improve financial performance in operations
  • Assist in the development of cost models, data collection and cost down projects
  • Participate in the monthly close process as it relates to variances and inventory
  • Assists planners on engineering development programs & NPI and analyzes costs
  • Perform product cost analysis. Prepare reports and cost benefit analysis for managements review and approval
  • Work with Planner on cost reductions and analyze data
  • Review monthly build plans with Scheduler/Planners
  • Investigate Inventory variances and suggest corrective actions
  • Minimization of obsolete material and risk inventory in launching new products and ECO’s
  • Review Inventory weekly for MRB disposition, low inventory and for internal system variances
  • Perform quarterly obsolescence review
  • Assist in the management of and compliance of Consigned inventory.
  • Review Excess and Obsolete materials at contract manufacturers semi-annually
  • Perform weekly shipping reports
  • Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years with inventory management, purchasing and or supply chain
  • Must be extremely proficient in Excel (Advanced Functions – Pivot Tables, Vlookup, etc.
  • An aggressive, get it done attitude towards work.
  • Advanced analytical skills, ability to handle multiple divisions and make sense of large data
  • Cost accounting skills is a plus
  • Must be extremely responsive & action-oriented
  • Take charge attitude required
  • Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures
  • Good organizational, problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to complete tasks for multiple projects timely and in their entirety
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Great Plains ERP software experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel to our offsite warehouse is required
